"He was VERY supportive of our decision NOT to circumcise, even told us he left his own sons intact who are now young adults."

"He's been totally hands' off with my son's penis, didn't ask about circumcision at all and I've heard similar positive experiences with him from a variety of people."

"I wanted to comment on Dr Harootunian (Dr H) and other doctors on the South Shore. We did not see Dr H when my son was young but I was pregnant so I asked him about this issue. He said he will do a 'gentle' look to observe the meatus, but won't do that if requested not to by the parents. When I asked more about that, he stated that was how he was trained. (In fact I did look up info and it is still in the literature for pediatricians, I think it was on the AAP site, even though the AAP parent site says no retraction).
Despite this, I would still recommend him because he will listen and is respectful to parents- but I suggest parents address this ahead of time to make sure they are comfortable- and he may even had other parents tell him this in the meantime.
I still live in the South Shore of MA and am part of a few local AP group.
If you are looking for AP/holistic practitioners there are other drs in the area.
Circle of Life in Hanover, Dr Griever in Halifax, Dr Smith in Pembroke (Harbor Medical), Dr Walcott & Robertson at Pediatric Health Care in Braintree and Dr Vonnegut in Quincy have come up as recommended several times.
Hope that helps!"

I would also suggest Dr H. He's fantatic with my son. I told him I didn't want his penis touched when we first saw him when he was two and he told me he had no issues with that and would never pull the foreskin back or even touch his genitl region without my consent. I think he's been getting many people saying this as he commented that there is no benefit to pulling the foreskin back and that it's quite painful. He asked if my sons could retract at all to which I replied I had no idea I have never done it (nor would I)and as far as I am aware neither has my son. And that was that. Hes very open minded about vaccines too. I like him very much and think he's quite good with my son.

Dr. Cassandra Walcott is actually in Brockton, not Braintree. I have girls, so this is a bit of a moot point for us, but my cousin brought her three boys to Dr. Walcott (two of whom are intact) and she had nothing but good things to say about her concerning her stance on not circumcising.
As as aside: Dr. Walcott is FABULOUS. I highly recommend her!

We see Dr. Smith in Pembroke. She is a sweetheart. Like Dr. H, she did try to take a peek at the meatus, but was totally fine when I asked her not to and hasn't tried since and my son is almost 2. She is also very cool about not vaccinating.
